Summary: Abstract: This paper analyses components of self-study competence and situation of teaching self-study skills for students at specialised and gifted schools. Based on this analysis, the article proposes solutions in terms of management agencies and teaching staff to enhance the quality of teaching self-study skills for students specialising in Biology at specialised and gifted schools.
