Title of article: 8. IDENTIFYING LEARNING GOALS FOR STUDENTS
Summary: Abstract: Clearly defined goals and objectives form the foundation for selecting appropriate content, learning activities and assessment measures. If objectives are not clearly understood by both instructor and students or if learning activities do not relate to the goals, then the methods of assessment which are supposed to indicate to both learners and instructor how effective the learning process has been, will be misleading and at worst, unfair or useless. This article mentions rules for determining learning goals for students and proposes a process to setting up learning objectives for students with aim to help students determine what they want to reach by the end of the course and provide guildlines for using objective when designing their courses.
