Title of article: 10. A PROPOSED INTERDISCIPLINARY MODEL FOR TEACHING THE TOPIC FOOD AT HIGH SCHOOL
Summary: Integrated interdisciplinary teaching method on the topic of food aims at developing students' creative thinking, group working skills. Students are able to apply knowledge to explain daily life problems and develop problem-solving skills. Students are also able to generalise knowledge from specific discipline into a greater field, and in the mean times, respect methodology of specific discipline. The outcome of this method is not only about skill development, but also deepen knowledge as well as ability to apply knowledge to select safe food with high accuracy. Students understand elements, mechanism and factors affecting the mechanism due to climate change or man-made intervention, therefore, they are able to propose appropriate solution for problems encountered in daily life.
